About Lincoln Avenue Capital
Lincoln Avenue Capital (LAC) is a real estate private equity firm that owns, develops, and invests in low income, subsidized housing communities nationwide. Founded in April of 2016, LAC has grown quickly to own a national portfolio of over 50 properties and is currently one of the most active developers of subsidized housing properties (both Section 42 LIHTC as well as Section 8) in the country.
LAC was started and is led by members of the Bronfman family who have built a team with deep experience in finance, investments and affordable housing. The team brings a diversity of backgrounds and experiences and shares a deep commitment to ensuring the delivery of quality, stable housing communities to its residents, while providing both financial and social returns for its investors.
The LAC team has quickly established strong public -private partnerships and relationships with debt and equity partners to become a preferred investor in low income housing. It has a long term hold (versus IRR-driven) strategy that enables the company to invest in these properties with twin goals of ensuring market driven economic returns while also preserving long term affordability for its residents. Its unique capital position allows LAC to execute creatively on a wide variety of affordable housing transactions, ensuring delivery of quality low-income housing and maximizing value to its investors.
LAC’s success to-date and future growth ambitions allows the company to offer its employees a unique value proposition:
- “Start-up” mindset: this is a start-up company that looks to innovate across its business.
- High-growth company: the company has ambitious growth targets to become one of the major owners of subsidized housing in the country. This will create both career growth and wealth creation opportunities for employees, both near- and long-term.
- Flat organization with a meritocratic structure based on team collaboration. We move at a fast pace and place responsibility in every member of the team to provide a high level of tangible experience in everything we do.
- Fun, work hard/play hard culture: the company values results first and foremost, but also has a strong, supportive, collaborative culture.
- Making a difference: LAC is a double bottom line business where this person will make a meaningful difference in the lives of the residents within its communities.
LAC is actively seeking team members who have rigorous institutional experience and standards, but a dynamic, entrepreneurial spirit as the firm positions itself for continued growth.
