In this exciting role, you'll be serving up delicious beverages to guests while creating unforgettable experiences in a fun and lively setting.

At Lincoln Children’s Zoo, our mission is to enrich lives through interaction with living things. We provide hands-on experiences for more than 250,000 guests per year and care for over 400 creatures. We are champions of STEM education through camps and programs, and help families make memories by producing special events and experiences throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver Outstanding Service: Greet and interact with guests in a friendly, professional manner, taking orders and ensuring each guest has a memorable experience as they enjoy their time at the zoo.

Master the Craft: Prepare a variety of beverages, from expertly brewed coffee and tea to creative drinks, all while maintaining quality and consistency.

Maintain a Clean and Efficient Workspace: Open and close the coffee bar, ensuring everything is clean, organized, and ready for the day. This includes maintaining equipment, washing dishes, and keeping the space tidy and inviting.

Keep It Fresh: Regularly check product freshness and dates, and communicate any inventory needs to the F&B manager to ensure we’re always stocked with the best ingredients.

Collaborate with the Team: Work alongside a fun, passionate crew while supporting each other to create a smooth, efficient environment where guests feel welcomed.

Preferred Talents:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong skills in teamwork.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public and Zoo employees at all levels.
• Ability to follow all safe food handling procedures and sanitation practices.
• Good memory to manage multiple orders simultaneously and recall faces, names, and preferences of frequent patrons.
• Ability to serve customers quickly, efficiently, and kindly.

Qualifications:

• Must successfully complete training in food preparation, food service skills, and customer service procedures.
• Must be able to work a varied schedule including weekend, evening, and holiday work.
• Valid driver's license.
