As the Media Operations Specialist, you are responsible for providing operational support for the Media Strategy team within Best Buy Marketing. This role will coordinate end-to-end process for the media operations and invoicing in working closely with Best Buy’s media agency, Accounts Payable, Procurement and Controllership.
In this role, one will develop a deep understanding of the media process and will support media team operations by managing billing, tracking, and reconciliation, providing accurate and effective accounting practices end-to-end. They will partner with our procurement team and manage documentation and approval processes via Best Buy’s procurement system. They will support in campaign management which includes stewardship of media plan flowcharts, campaign budget approvals, ongoing team deliverables and reporting.
This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at the Best Buy location listed on this posting and some days virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.
What you’ll do
- Oversee the comprehensive media team operations process in collaboration with internal media teams, media agencies, and finance partners such as Accounts Payable and Controllership.
- Provide cross-functional budget management for the media strategy team, ensuring precision and timely budget approvals through Best Buy’s procurement system.
- Manage the invoicing process, including the setup of purchase orders, invoice processing, resolving invoice discrepancies, and maintaining partner communication regarding invoice status.
- Support the media strategy team by managing key media campaign deliverables, operational tasks, and reporting requirements.
