What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Clerk position at Lincoln Contractors Supply?
Lincoln Contractors Supply is a family-owned company founded in 1956 by Alfred Knief and Wilmer Guenther. We are currently under the third generation of family leadership with Aaron Knief as President.
LCS has grown to operate 11 locations throughout the state of Wisconsin. We lead the industry in retail sales, service, and rental of construction equipment and supplies.
MAIN FUNCTION: The Warehouse Clerk will be integral in maintaining inventory control, both incoming and outgoing, through the corporate office warehouses. Timely processing of receiving and shipping is necessary to maintain optimal stock levels at all locations.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
· Process all incoming deliveries. Must maintain accurate counts verifying contents with each packing slip.
· Complete branch transfers and movement of product to branch locations in a timely manner. Verify accuracy of transfers and allocate product to specified departments.
· All receiving paperwork must be filed and processed accurately and correctly.
· Process branch inventory requests, pull requested product, and place in specified branch bins.
· Prepare daily shipments and assist in loading/unloading of LCS delivery truck.
· Provide assistance to all local branch delivery drivers transferring product through the corporate warehouse.
· Process all incoming and outgoing UPS, FEDEX, and other third-party shipments daily. All outgoing shipments must be packaged appropriately to avoid damage.
· The warehouses must be kept neat, clean, and orderly, free of safety hazards for all personnel. Movement of product must be handled with care to avoid any damage or loss to the company while adhering to all safety guidelines.
· Follow all safety rules/guidelines when operating all equipment. Must wear appropriate PPE when using the forklift or other equipment.
· Responsible for emptying garbage and recycling bins throughout the day as needed.
· Assist in organizing and storing historical company documents.
· Maintain clear and open communication with the Inventory Control Manager, Branch Manager, Warehouse Manager, and/or delivery companies regarding any discrepancies.
· Must assist customers internal/external in loading and unloading.
· Keep all entryways in and out of the warehouse clear of obstruction and safe for all personnel.
· Monitor inclement weather to prevent damage to inventory outside of building.
· Assembly of product will be necessary.
· Clean up excessive water, shovel snow, and salt as needed to ensure warehouse access.
· May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
The Warehouse Clerk will be required to have proficient computer skills for maintaining accurate customer/vendor relations. You must also have strong inter-personal skills to openly maintain quality communications with all internal and external customers.
Schedules hours Monday- Friday 7 A.M.- 4 P.M.
Pay range depending on experience

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
