What are the responsibilities and job description for the P.A.T Parent Educator position at Lincoln County R-III School District?
OPEN POSITION : P.A.T. Parent Educator (P / T) - Early Childhood Education Center
START DATE : Immediately
PAY RATE : $17.77- starting rate, commensurate on degree
PRIMARY FUNCTION : Promotes early learning and the health of children by supporting and encouraging their parents / caregivers. Documents details of each visit, assessment, screening and provides follow up resources. Develops and maintains a current community resource network system that includes all necessary information to link families to identified supports and services as needed. Afternoons, evenings and weekends may be necessary. This is approximately a 20 hour a week position.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Parents as Teachers National Certification, preferred but not required
- Required continuing education to maintain certification
- Trained in Foundational 1 and 2 Curriculum, preferred but not required
- BA Degree in Early Childhood or related field or 60 college hours in Early Childhood or related field and at least two years' experience working with young children and families
- Effective oral and written communication skills
