What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Director/Physician position at Lincoln County?
We are looking for someone who can provide oversight of all Community Health Center (CHC) clinical programs. As well as perform professional work as a physician three of five days (60%) per week providing direct in-person patient care services.
We are looking to hire a part-time to full-time position. Please indicate in your application which you prefer.
The salary range for this position is negotiable based on experience and skill.
A stipend of 10% is provided for Medical Director functions
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education Level
Specifics:
For a physician: graduation from an accredited medical school and completion of 1-year internship.
For a family nurse practitioner: graduation from an accredited nurse practitioner school.
Minimum Experience Level
Specifics:
For a physician: five years of increasingly responsible medical experience in a primary care, family practice or internal medicine clinic, graduation from an accredited medical school and completion of 1-year internship. Behavioral health experience is preferred.
For a family nurse practitioner: Five or more years of increasingly responsible medical experience, graduation from an accredited nurse practitioner school, possession of a license as registered nurse in the State of Oregon, and certification as a nurse practitioner by the State of Oregon at the time of appointment. Certification as a Doctor of Nursing Practice and behavioral health experience is preferred.
Certifications
For a family nurse practitioner: certification as a nurse practitioner by the State of Oregon at the time of appointment.
Driver’s License
This position also requires an insurable driving record and a valid Oregon driver’s license within 30 days of appointment.
Other Licenses
Specifics:
For a physician: possession of, or ability to obtain, licensure to practice medicine in the State of Oregon. Must meet all credentialing requirements.
For a family nurse practitioner: possession of a license as registered nurse in the State of Oregon at the time of appointment.
Desirable Qualifications
For a physician: behavioral health experience is preferred.
For a family nurse practitioner: Certification as a Doctor of Nursing Practice and behavioral health experience is preferred.
