What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medicolegal Death Investigator position at Lincoln County?
**this is an on call, 24/7 position including weekends and holidays**
Lincoln County is looking to add a part-time/on-call Medicolegal Death Investigator. This person will conduct death investigations working closely with the Chief Medicolegal Death Investigator, County Medical Examiner(s), and law enforcement.

Associates and/or Professional Certification
Minimum Experience Level:
None
Substitution Note: Combination of education (high school/GED) and 2 years of experience in conducting death investigations may be used in lieu of minimum education requirement.
Certifications:
Specifics: OCMDI certified 40-hour course in death investigation must be completed within 1 year of hire.
Driver’s License:
Oregon Driver's License required within 30 days of hire.
Desirable Qualifications: Prior experience as a medicolegal death investigator, registered nurse, or paramedic is preferred. Bilingual and/or bicultural competencies for Latino population.
Knowledge of:
- Human anatomy.
- Advanced course work in biology, physiology, or chemistry.
