What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mobile Crisis Associate - Behavioral Health position at Lincoln County?
Lincoln County HHS Behavioral Health is looking to add a Mobile Crisis Associate to their team. This person will assist in the performance of de-escalating a crisis event. They will also help to develop a plan for community services and referrals. This role is also responsible for assisting in the performance of the crisis assessment, development of a safety plan for persons who are ready to transition to a lower level of care and performing follow up contacts following an acute care crisis.

Minimum Education Level
High School Diploma / GED
Minimum Experience Level
Specifics: Three years in a human services or related field.
Substitution Note: Will consider experience in highly acute situations, such as emergency medical response, firefighting, disaster response, law enforcement, security, or related field.
Certifications
Specifics: Currently hold or able to obtain within six months of hire: QMHA certification through MHACBO. See the MHACBO site for current certification requirements.
Driver’s License
Oregon Driver's License required within 30 days of hire.
Desirable Qualifications:
Bilingual and/or bicultural competencies for the Latino population are preferred
Knowledge of:
- Basic knowledge of Mental Health symptoms and diagnoses.
- De-escalation techniques.
- Basic Motivational Interviewing.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of community services and how to access them.
- Privacy, Confidentiality, dual relationships, and ethics in healthcare.
