Lincoln County's Primary Care Clinic, Coastal Healthcare, is currently looking to add a Medical Assistant (MA) to their clinic. We are looking for a passionate and dynamic individual looking to serve their community.
The person in this role will perform a wide variety of paraprofessional medical and mental health support duties, including assisting in the identification of patient needs through screening, interviewing and observation and in implementing care or treatment plans.
This position is also responsible for preparing patients for procedures and examinations and assisting in the effective delivery of health care to patients by providing support services including laboratory tests, vital signs, maintenance of patient records, obtaining and entering demographic data and billing information, scheduling appointments and generally maintaining clinic flow. Working with patients in addiction treatment if assigned OBAT. Working with veterans and the VA medical center if assigned.

Minimum Education Level
High School Diploma / GED
Minimum Experience Level
None
Certifications
Specifics: A valid, unencumbered Medical Assistant Certification or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program and the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
Driver’s License
Oregon Driver's License required within 30 days of hire.
Other Licenses
Specifics: Required to maintain current and active licensure and certifications, as applicable, and to provide copies of the appropriate verifications at the time of renewals.
Desirable Qualifications: At least one year of experience in a health care setting is preferred. Bilingual and/or bicultural competencies for the Latino population are preferred.
Knowledge of:
- Medical terminology.
- Anatomy.
- Basic clinical procedures.
- First aid and CPR.
- Safety and sanitation.
