Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Level Switchboard Design Engineer to join our growing team at Lincoln Electric Products Co. Inc.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in developing and innovating our low-voltage switchboard products, utilizing your expertise in mechanical design and engineering principles.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sheet metal and fabrication design, with extensive experience in switchboard design and a proven track record of delivering high-quality designs that meet stringent safety and performance standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing comprehensive mechanical designs for switchboard enclosures, busbars, and structural components, utilizing advanced CAD software to create detailed 2D and 3D models.
You will also be responsible for selecting appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for all components, considering cost-effectiveness, performance requirements, and industry best practices.
A key responsibility will be to lead the mechanical design process to strictly comply with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as ANSI, IEEE, IEC, local codes, UL891, UL67, UL508A, UL50, and National Electric Code (NEC).
Additionally, you will work closely with electrical engineers, design teams, and project managers to achieve project objectives seamlessly.
The selected candidate will be expected to stay up-to-date with emerging standards, innovative materials, and cutting-edge design methodologies, ensuring that switchboard designs meet stringent mechanical performance and safety standards.
