We're seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Network and Cable Technician at LES. In this role, you'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network electrical equipment and cable infrastructure that are critical to supporting our operations. JOB SUMMARY
Under direct supervision, performs construction, operation, and maintenance of electrical lines and network facilities; fiber optic installation, splicing, and maintenance; and operating substations in accordance with LES design standards and established policies, safety rules, procedures, and practices to provide a reliable electrical service for LES customers. Specific duties include installing, maintaining and repairing Network electrical equipment and assisting with general Network operations. Performs emergency and overtime work as necessary. Consistent and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND CORE COMPETENCIES
- Under direct supervision, performs duties on both energized and de-energized network facilities, distribution lines, and substations while ensuring the safety of themselves, fellow workers, and the general public.
- Under direct supervision, performs periodic preventative and general maintenance tasks on electrical equipment during unit outages, operational down time or when directed by superior.
- Under direct supervision, performs fiber optic installation, splicing, and maintenance.
- Follows directions to operates and maintains tools, equipment, and safety devices necessary for the construction and maintenance of network, fiber, distribution, and substation facilities.

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates degree in Utility Line or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Valid commercial driver’s license
- Asbestos Supervisor License or the ability to obtain within 12 months
