PURPOSE :
The Director of Product Stewardship is responsible for ensuring that a company's products are safe, compliant with regulations, and environmentally sustainable.
JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES) :
- Develop and implement product stewardship strategies and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Manage our Chemical Information System (CIS), which contains the foundational data needed to author product safety data sheets (SDS)develop label templates and safe use guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Director, Sustainability Global Research & Development, and cross-functional teams to ensure that products are designed, manufactured, and distributed in a sustainable and environmentally responsible manner.
- Monitor and analyze emerging regulatory trends and industry best practices to ensure that the company's product stewardship programs remain current and effective.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, industry associations, and other stakeholders to ensure that the company's product stewardship programs are aligned with industry standards and expectations.
- Provide training and guidance to employees and customers on product safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental sustainability.
- Support the resolution of product product-related incidents that involve customers to ensure that they are handled in a timely and effective manner.
- Develop and manage budgets for product stewardship programs and initiatives.
- Prepare and present reports to senior management and other stakeholders on product stewardship performance and progress.
- Ensure that the company's product stewardship programs are aligned with the company's overall business strategy and objectives.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s 2030 Strategy.
