What are the responsibilities and job description for the Consultant, Strategic Supplier, Relationship Management (*remote consideration) position at Lincoln Financial Group?
What you’ll be doing
- Collaborate with procurement sourcing managers and business leaders to build strategic relationships with your ‘book of business’ of key suppliers.
- Work with internal stakeholders and other parties to prepare data driven supplier profiles including spend, risk, key contract terms, service level agreements, performance metrics and to conduct regular performance reviews ensuring LFG’s business requirements are being met.
- Leverage voice of the business leaders to identify supplier pain-points, challenges, and hurdles; advises and executes on approaches to positively enhance supplier interactions and performance.
- Resolves escalated issues with workable win – win solutions through objective review and analysis of the facts and business leader sentiment.
- Continuously improve SRM processes and build out a standard playbook including supplier management best practices in supplier segmentation, escalated issue resolution, balanced supplier scorecard development, periodic business reviews and build out of objectives and key results for suppliers.
- Document the supplier’s capabilities through desktop research, contract reviews and business partner interactions to build executive presentations and execute strategic and tactical supplier management solutions.
- A key player in maturing the supplier oversight function, collaborating with internal stakeholders to build longer term strategic supplier strategies to drive innovation and value from the supplier relationships at Lincoln.

The pay range for this position is $69,000 - $124,600 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
