What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Investment Accounting Operations Analyst position at Lincoln Financial Group?
What you'll be doing
- Responsible for accounting for securities (public, private, and ABS) on a GAAP, STAT, Tax, and Bermuda basis.
- Provides oversight of investment accounting data recorded by our third-party partner in PAM for Investments and ensures information in the PeopleSoft general ledger is reconciled to PAM subledger on a monthly basis .
- Researches, identifies, and resolves complex investment accounting issues related to securities.
- Collaborates across the organization with Investment Reporting, Treasury, Reinsurance, Legal, and Front and Middle Office teams to ensure transactions are booked appropriately and communicated to all relevant parties, including onboarding new transaction types and asset classes.
- Prepares and / or reviews suspense, payable, and receivable account reconciliations and works with internal partners and third-party partner to ensure items are reconciled and cleared timely.
- Enhances and executes SOX / MAR controls to ensure effective procedures are in place to support completeness and accuracy of reporting related to securities.
- Coordinates with third-party provider to ensure accurate data is available for Statutory reporting, including updating NAIC ratings, obtaining audited annual financial statements for certain investments and filing with the SVO, and monitoring assets held on deposit.
- Monitors Managed Service Provider (MSP) delivery, providing oversight, review, and direction as necessary to ensure deliverables are accurate and on-time.
- Serves as a project manager for assigned investment accounting projects. Reviews technical work of less experienced team members or MSP providers.
- Provides expertise and training and coaching to junior team members.
- Provides technical research on new & existing general account investments.

The pay range for this position is $93,300 - $169,700 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
