What you'll be doing
- Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments / trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with executive / senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future strategies.
- Leads the identification, development, and implementation of strategic process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality across the team, business unit, and / or the organization for assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Leads and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and / or departmental / enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Provides training and development opportunities, including stretch assignments, for team members and gives honest and open feedback to aid in the development of talent.
- Leads, establishes and implements priorities, performance goals and objectives to achieve key business results for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Guides and evaluates departmental performance and takes appropriate action to meet and / or exceed performance standards for assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Provides thought leadership and functional expertise to internal / external stakeholders for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Leads strategy development and implementation for enterprise talent and performance management and leadership development programs.
- Leads the identification, development, and implementation of innovative programs to assimilate, develop, and retain talent across the company in a transformative growth environment.
- Provides thought leadership on enterprise talent and leadership development strategies to develop best practices and talent solutions.
- Implements a product management approach to core enterprise talent and leadership programs, including succession planning, internal mobility, leadership development and coaching offer, and end-to-end performance management system.
- Partners with HR Operations and HR Technology to maximize our talent, performance management, learning, and leadership development processes and technology stack to operate cost-effectively and efficiently.
- Partners with internal stakeholders to appropriately integrate merit and equity programs into our talent processes and improve processes and systems that support cross-enterprise pollination of talent.
- Oversees and leads the annual talent review and succession planning processes, including management of institutional knowledge risk.
- Continues to evolve the enterprise performance management system, including continued enhancements to our rating process, feedback routines, linkages to our pay-for-performance principles, and performance management technology platform.
- Stands up and operationalizes an internal mobility program to facilitate simpler and more employee- and business-friendly navigation of job posting and availability processes that support talent growth and development.
- Builds and leads high performing team of talent associates to support cross-functional initiatives and programs across Talent & Employee Experience (T&EX) as a means to develop and cross-train talent and broaden the People, Culture and Communications (PCC) talent pipeline.
- Ensures assigned areas of responsibilities are meeting all objectives pertaining to quality, compliance, regulations, productivity, service, budget, and project management.
- Contributes to the development of operational plans that are aligned with PCC and T&EX goals and Lincoln’s overall business plans and specific strategic and tactical initiatives.

Effective productivity / technology tools and training
The pay range for this position is $157,000 - $285,600 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
