Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations and providing insightful reports to management.
Duties
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions using accounting software.
- Perform double entry bookkeeping to ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices and payments.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in tax preparation and ensure compliance with governmental accounting regulations.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements and accounts to identify discrepancies.
- Utilize 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry and record keeping.
- Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and budgeting processes.
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software, such as Sage or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of governmental accounting practices is a plus.
- Experience in tax preparation and compliance is desirable.
- Excellent financial report writing skills to communicate findings effectively.
- Knowledge of debits and credits to accurately manage accounts.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
