The council is seeking a Senior Development Director (senior fundraising executive) who will give leadership, direction, and support to several of the council’s fundraising campaigns. This includes identifying and recruiting top volunteer leadership to assist with pursuing funding opportunities. This position also gives leadership to the council’s grant making efforts.
Salary & Compensation Package:
- Base Salary $65,000 - $75,000 (based on experience)
- Car Allowance ($425 a month & Cell Phone $55 a month): $5,760
- Annual Average of Executive Mileage Reimbursement: $3,600
- Annual Bonus Incentives
Responsibilities:
- Give leadership and direction to several fundraising events totaling $400,000 to $700,000 in revenue. This includes raising funds, managing event logistics and volunteer engagement.
- Research, identify, and recruit top level volunteers to serve on event committees in a fundraising capacity.
- Actively research, identify, cultivate, and solicit new funding opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing donors, community leaders, and corporate partner.
- Give leadership to the council’s grants campaign. This includes identifying funding sources, writing proposals, and maintaining relations with key influencers.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in nonprofit fundraising, incorporating innovative approaches to enhance our fundraising efforts.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fundraising, development, or a related role, preferably within a nonprofit organization.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully securing sponsorships, leading events, and developing sustainable donor relationships.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Great interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and inspire a wide range of stakeholders.
- Proven experience in creating and executing successful fundraising campaigns and events.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and familiarity with donor management software.
