Office Professional I, Lincoln High School, Special Education, 200 Day, 8 Hrs/day
The primary purpose of this position is to provide support for the Special Education Coordinator. Duties will include clerical support, maintaining special education documentation, files, scheduling special education meetings, working in partnership with the administration team, and answering phones.
This position will start July 22, 2025.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/SKILLS:
A. Regular, dependable, in person attendance is an essential function of this position.
B. Knowledge and proper execution of district policies and procedures. Knowledge of programs, departments or locations served.
C. Communication/Language Skills: Possess and demonstrate effective oral, written and listening skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret various documents.
D. Reasoning Skills: Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in various forms. Make decisions in a timely manner, utilizing input from others as appropriate.
E. Human Relations Skills: Establish and maintain effective, professional working relationships with employees, students and community while maintaining the appropriate level of confidentiality.
F. Computer Skills: Knowledge of computer systems including but not limited to time and attendance system, information systems (student and/or financial as appropriate) and the policies/regulations associated with such usage.
Performs the following tasks:
A. Manages all files for students with special education verifications
B. Assists the coordinator/assistant coordinator in scheduling meetings
C. Maintains confidentiality
D. Regular, dependable, attendance is required
E. Assists with parent and student events provided by the special education department
F. Maintains accurate special education records
G. Completes mailings, as appropriate
H. Receptionist for the special education department
I. Greets families and students in a friendly manner
J. All other duties assigned by the coordinator or assistant coordinator that relate to
students with special education needs in the building
This position is subject to a veterans preference.
This position pays $19.30/hr.
