Head Start Birth-5 has an opening for a non-exempt full-time Social Work Coordinator working 35 hours a week based out of Tell City, IN. The Social Work Coordinator is responsible for providing social services to students, staff, and families to resolve social and emotional problems that interfere with learning. Serve as support for mental health and wellness for students, families, and staff. Will be required to follow program health and safety standards to maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment, practice active supervision and promote a culture of safety in the Head Start Birth-5 Centers. This position is funded by the Early Years Initiative.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or other related area required. An associate’s degree in related field with experience may be considered if willing to further education. Proficient in computer systems and functions, including Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint), Internet, and email usage. LHDC may provide on the job training to obtain the appropriate credentials or degree if necessary. Travel to all Head Start Birth-5 Center locations will be required.
Must meet Head Start and Indiana Child Care Licensing Regulations, including Head Start Standards of Conduct, federal and state criminal history requirements, sex offender registry checks, drug screen, physical, and complete an annual T.B. test.
