Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with activities of daily living, and medication. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a residential care home setting, particularly with elderly individuals. This role requires a commitment to maintaining the dignity and independence of clients while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Duties
- Medication delivery
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in health status to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider.
- Provide patient monitoring to ensure safety and comfort throughout the evening/night.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, including adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Assist clients in following their individualized care plans, ensuring that all needs are met effectively.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a residential care home or similar environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with working with elderly individuals
- Certification in CPR and first aid is a plus.
- Knowledge of basic patient monitoring techniques and vital signs assessment is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are essential.
