Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining and programming, with a focus on precision and quality. This role involves creating and optimizing CNC programs for various machining operations, ensuring that all specifications are met while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for machining operations using CAM programming software.
- Operate CNC machines, including electrical discharge machining, to fabricate components according to engineering specifications.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and bore gauges to ensure accuracy in production.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes and product designs using SolidWorks.
- Conduct routine maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
Experience
- Proficiency in CNC programming and operation, with experience in electrical discharge machining preferred.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments, including micrometers and bore gauges.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical drawings effectively.
- Experience with CAM programming software is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous, particularly in roles involving fabrication and machining processes.
