Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair tools and dies according to specifications.
- Utilize SolidWorks and AutoCAD to create detailed schematics for tool designs.
- Operate various machining equipment including milling machines, lathes, and stamping presses.
- Conduct inspections of tools and components to ensure accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop new tooling solutions that meet production needs.
- Perform CAM programming for automated machining processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
- Troubleshoot issues with existing tools and recommend improvements or modifications.
Experience
- Proficient in SolidWorks Mastercam AutoCAD for design purposes
- Strong experience in machining techniques, including the use of hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Familiarity with schematics and technical drawings is essential.
- Experience with CAM programming is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of stamping press operations is a plus.
- Strong mathematical skills for precise measurements and calculations related to tool making.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment is highly desirable.
