Description

As an Adult Basic Education (ABE) / Adult Secondary Education (ASE) Instructor, this position is critical in providing high-quality educational instruction to adult learners seeking to enhance their foundational skills or earn their high school equivalency credentials. This position involves designing and implementing instructional plans, assessing student progress, and creating a supportive learning environment conducive to adult education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Previous experience in teaching adult learners in ABE/ASE programs or related adult education settings is essential.
• Understanding of and ability to apply principles of adult learning, recognizing the unique characteristics and motivations of adult learners.
• Familiarity with the content and format of high school equivalency exams (e.g., GED, HiSET) to effectively prepare students for successful completion.
• Proficiency in utilizing educational technology, online learning platforms, and digital resources to enhance instructional delivery and engage adult learners.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey complex concepts and provide constructive feedback to adult learners.
  
  

Terms: Part-time, 4 mornings per week, 12 hours per week

Position will begin May 2025

Salary: $28.50/hr
