Role Overview: The Financial Product & Platform Management Sr. Specialist will report to the Director, Financial Products & Platform Management. This role will be responsible for maintaining, conceptualizing and building new product offerings with the support of our Investment Management, Advisor Consulting, Practice Management, Operations and Service, Technology and Relationship Management teams. This individual will own all aspects of our product line from the ground up to support our rapidly growing business. This role requires ideation, defining requirements through our Product & Platform Committee, and assisting various teams through to execution and launch.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned products including the business change. Act as a single point of contact for assigned products.
- Coordinate all activities and report regularly to senior leadership teams.
- Participate in and manage the Product & Platform bi-weekly meetings
- Assist in defining internal controls as well as policies and procedures related to the ongoing administration of Lincoln’s product shelf.
- Work in partnership with business leaders to obtain and commit necessary resources at the appropriate time, level, and expertise to support the products.
- Ensure compliance with using appropriate product management tools, processes and procedures.
- Manage the overall vendor relationships and ensure their delivery, on time and on budget.
- Manage the end-to-end product life cycle including market needs, opportunity definition, roadmap, and requirements to launch products with durable competitive advantage.
- Drive competitive and comparable research to identify unmet needs, product gaps, and inform prioritization decisions. Obtain advisor feedback to gather foundational insights and test out new product concepts.
- Use rapid experimentation to learn quickly, iterate, and get it right.
- Manage service level agreements with outside vendor relationships.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales Management, Practice Management, & Relationship Management to ensure seamless execution of our product strategy.
- Manage whole product releases to ensure the entire company is ready to sell, implement, and support major feature roll-outs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the financial services industry
- Series 6/7 preferred
- Experience with TAMPS, platform managers, asset managers, and custodians preferred.
- High EQ, intuition and skills in communicating your strategy across the company with end users.
- Strong analytical skills; a data-driven problem solver.
- Product management experience to include experience leading very large mission critical products that involve significant business and technology change.
- Experience developing and negotiating partnerships with external vendor/ suppliers.
- Expertise managing outsourcing service agreement including tracking of Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Strong knowledge of business case development including cost/benefit analysis, NPV, and current and future state assessment
- Superior oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Strong presentation and facilitation skills necessary to communicate and persuade a wide range of audiences.
