Regional Vice President, Southeast Region
Basic Function: The Regional Vice President (RVP) is a full-time, field leader responsible for driving advisor growth, productivity, and recruiting within their assigned region. The RVP serves as a key ambassador for the firm and is accountable for four core areas: advisor development and sales effectiveness, employer retirement plan support (with a focus on non-ERISA public education markets), wealth management growth, and advisor recruiting.
Core Responsibilities:
- Advisor Development & Sales Effectiveness
- Proactively engage with current advisors to foster deeper relationships and increase adoption of the firm’s wealth management solutions.
- Coach advisors on best practices to grow their business.
- Promote advisor effectiveness through structured practice management support, sales coaching, and leadership development.
- Employer Retirement Plan Support
- Guide and support advisors in prospecting and selling within the employer retirement plan space, especially the non-ERISA public education market (e.g., 403(b), 457(b)).
- Help identify new plan opportunities with existing employer groups, expand plan offerings, and position the firm favorably in competitive plan environments.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key employer decision-makers, third-party administrators (TPAs), and educational associations to support plan retention and growth.
- Wealth Management & Fee-Based Growth
- Serve as a strategic partner to advisors to deepen their understanding and utilization of the firm’s wealth management solutions.
- Help advisors shift toward and scale fee-based advisory models, leveraging model portfolios, financial planning tools, and asset management resources.
- Stay current on industry trends, legislation, and competitive offerings to better equip advisors in addressing client needs.
- Advisor Recruiting
- Identify and attract high-quality financial professionals and branches that align with the firm’s values and standards.
- Collaborate with the advisor transition team to maintain a healthy pipeline of candidates and ensure seamless onboarding.
- Represent the firm’s value proposition and differentiators to external advisors, leveraging regional and national networks.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in financial services, including leadership in field sales, wealth management, or retirement plan distribution.
- Strong knowledge of non-ERISA markets (particularly public education retirement plans), employer plan sales, and fee-based advisory models.
- Proven track record of coaching financial advisors, increasing advisor productivity, and driving recruiting success.
- Bachelor’s degree required (Finance, Business or related); FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 65) required; Series 24 preferred or must be obtained within six months.

- Strong coaching, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- High emotional intelligence with a collaborative, growth-minded leadership style.
- Proficient in CRM systems (i.e., Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite, client trading platforms (Pershing/Wove) and virtual collaboration tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time within the assigned region.
