Key Responsibilities:Curriculum Development and Instruction:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet state and educational standards across various subjects including math, science, social studies, and language arts
- Utilize innovative teaching methods and instructional technology to enhance student learning and engagement
- Create a nurturing, respectful, and safe classroom environment that promotes learning and encourages positive social interactions among students
- Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain student discipline and facilitate a productive classroom environment
- Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adapt instruction to meet the needs of each student
- Provide feedback to students in a constructive manner and work actively to support their academic improvement
- Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress, potential concerns, and achievements
- Encourage parental involvement in students’ education and ensure transparency about the educational process
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with educational research and pedagogy
- Participate in schoolwide training programs and workshops to enhance teaching skills
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, staff, and administration to enhance the instructional environment and school culture
- Participate in school committees and events that contribute to the educational goals of the school
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
- Valid PA teaching certification for elementary education
- Experience in teaching at the elementary level preferred
- Strong understanding of child development and the latest educational theories and practices
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Clearances: FBI fingerprints, PA state background check, child abuse history clearance, and a physical examination
