Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated FT RVT to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess a strong desire to assist in providing top-notch veterinary services.
**** Must be able to perform dental cleanings, dental radiographs & extractions independently with DVM supervision.
**** Must have surgical experience- prep, ivc, pre-med, induction, monitoring, recovery and discharge instructions/aftercare.
**** Candidate MUST have a current RVT license &/or a minimum of 2 years experience.
****A minimum of 2 years experience working in a busy veterinary hospital is required.
****Must be comfortable speaking with clients & assisting with receptionist duties when required.
**** Must be able to multi-task, work efficiently to get our clients in & out in a timely manner. Must keep workspace clean and organized.
**** Must be able to lift 50 lb with assistance, bend & kneel repeatedly & complete general cleaning tasks daily ( sweeping, moping, taking out trash etc).
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during exams, obtaining TPR's, preparing estimates, discussing treatment plans with clients & performing the services for each patient quickly & efficiently.
- Must have experience monitoring anesthesia & assisting with all surgical procedures.
- Must be proficient with IV catheter placement & venipuncture
- Provide compassionate pet care and support to animals and their owners
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the veterinary clinic
- Handle and restrain animals safely and effectively
- Perform &/or Assist with dental procedures and post-operative care
- Utilize aseptic techniques in handling medical instruments
Skills
- Proficiency in veterinary terminology and procedures
- Experience with veterinary critical care and emergency protocols
- Familiarity with laboratory operations and sample collection
- Ability to apply aseptic techniques effectively
- Experience with Neo software a plus
- Strong customer service experience a must.
