Responsibilities
The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years of knowledge in affordable housing, recently worked on property with LIHTC or any other affordable housing program, must be familiar with the housing choice voucher program, the N-Spire Inspections conducted by HUD and is familiar with the 4350.3 HUD Manual. This position requires about 25% travel. Affordable certifications are a plus but not mandatory.
The Compliance Specialist will ensure organizations remain up to date on all regulatory and licensing requirements in accordance with company, state, and federal regulations. These specialists develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures that keep a company's processes operating in an ethical manner.
Responsibilities
- Pre-approval of all initial applications
- Pre-approval of all annual recertifications
- Assist VP with quarterly file audit (remote or onsite)
- Closely review all utility allowances and income limits
- Closely monitor and assist VP as needed with all annual recertification worksheets
- Assist VP with all compliance reporting
- Assist VP and property staff with audit preparations
- Maintain the compliance tracking log and Google Drive file folders
