Position Title : District Music Coordinator
Location : SJDLC
Position Details :
The District Music Coordinator will be responsible for working with the district music team and classroom teachers to support implementation of a quality music education program in grades K-12. This position requires a great deal of interdisciplinary collaboration to strengthen music instruction throughout the district.
Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) :
Planning for and leading professional learning
Coaching
Staff appraisal
Supporting new or new-to-assignment teachers
Curriculum revision, implementation, and support
Community relations
Event planning
Facilitation of department meetings
Considerations for the position include, but are not limited to : robust musical content knowledge, classroom instructional experience, positive attitude, willingness to collaborate, and leadership experience.
This position includes additional days (14) as part of the coordinator stipend. Must qualify for, or hold, a Nebraska Administrative Certificate.
This position is subject to a veterans preference.
