What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified, School Social Worker position at Lincoln Public Schools?
Lincoln Public Schools is seeking candidates for a school social work position. Candidates must possess a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree and be, at a minimum, a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (PLMHP) and a Certified Master Social Worker (CMSW). The role of the school social worker is to connect the school, home, and community to support students and reduce barriers. Social workers provide individual and group mental health interventions, assist with crisis response, support attendance, coordinate school-based therapy, and connect families with community resources. There are over 45 school social workers employed by LPS to support each elementary, middle, and high school building.
This position is subject to a veterans preference.
