What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data and Learning Systems Administrator position at Lincoln Public Schools?
The Lincoln Public Schools are seeking a Data and Learning Systems Administrator . The Data and Learning Systems Administrator is directly responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of the district's data and learning systems, and the quality and integrity of information stored in these systems. The Data and Learning Systems Administrator is also responsible for implementing processes and controls to assure privacy, security, and confidentiality. The Data and Learning Systems Administrator reports to the Director of Educational Operations and Technology and collaborates with a broader team including the Director, the Network Manager, technicians, and instructional technology specialists.
Responsibilities for this position include :
- Implement and manage data and learning systems including the district student information system, emergency communication systems, learning management systems, enrollment systems, nursing systems, assessment systems, curriculum software, and other students learning systems.
- Assure privacy, security, and confidentiality of student and employee information through the development and implementation of processes and controls.
- Implement and maintain automated processes for integrating data and learning systems.
- Manage and maintain all servers, services, and infrastructure required for data and learning systems, and assure all systems are secure and stable.
- Assure the quality and integrity of information stored in data and learning systems through automation, validation, verification, documentation, training, and auditing.
- Provide training and support to faculty and staff in the use of all data and learning systems.
- Implement and manage automated systems to complete state reporting requirements.
- Prepare and submit reports required by the Department of Education, DoDEA, and the district including but not limited to SIMS, EPIMS, SCS, SSDR, School Attending Report, CRDC, monthly membership reports, and Hanscom Enrollment Reports.
- Fulfill the responsibilities of the DESE Directory Manager for the district.
- Support other faculty and staff in the use of other DESE reporting tools.
- Provide administrators and faculty with data analysis by receiving and understanding requirements, developing reports to fit the requirements, and delivering reports in a timely fashion.
- Support administrators and faculty with scheduling, grading, progress reports and report card processes.
- Support data needs of the MCAS process.
- Manage and support any parent portal components of systems, such as the SIS or LMS.
- Partner with the IT team to provide after-hours coverage and response for outages.
- Perform any and all other duties as assigned by the Director of Educational Operations and Technology.
Qualifications
This is a full year position eligible for Middlesex County Retirement System and Town of Lincoln based benefits with opportunities for up to two days / week of remote work on a mutually agreed upon schedule. Salary and benefits commensurate with experience.
