Senior Accountant
Position Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to assist in the development and implementation of financial management strategies across all company functions and ensure compliance with financial requirements and principles. This role will also support the coordination of the monthly financial close, audits, financial analysis of acquisition opportunities, and the annual budget process.
Responsibilities
- Audit Compliance - Assist in coordinating audits, including annual external audits, sales and use tax audits, and annual bank audits.
- Tax Compliance - Support the Corporate Controller and Senior Tax Manager in managing tax liabilities, estimated payments, tax planning, and identifying cost-saving strategies.
- Financial Reporting - Manage the financial close process by preparing and disseminating monthly close and reporting calendars. Assist in preparing the monthly financial package for the board of directors, internal financial statements, and the published annual report, including footnotes. Oversee intercompany reconciliations and companywide consolidations.
- Fixed Assets - Handle fixed asset management and oversee the capital approval process.
- Financial Analysis - Conduct due diligence for potential acquisition candidates and perform high-level analytics on cost and pricing initiatives.
- Technical Accounting Support - Resolve technical accounting issues in collaboration with the finance team, internal audit, and external auditors. Assist in implementing new U.S. GAAP accounting and financial reporting requirements.
- Budgeting / Forecasting - Contribute to the annual budgeting process and assist in preparing board presentations.
