Title: Boys Varsity Rugby Coach
Position Summary:
Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School seeks a Varsity Boys Rugby Coach for the upcoming spring 2025 season.
The 2025 spring season runs from Wednesday March 12th through early June. Practices are generally after school. This successful program has varsity and junior varsity levels.
Duties and Responsibilities (Not limited to):
The varsity coach is responsible for all aspects of coaching a high level rugby program while adhering to rules and guidelines set forth by the school, Dual County League and MIAA. Successful candidates will have the ability to oversee the entire Boys Rugby program, working with sub varsity coaches and athletes to develop a cohesive and competitive program.
Expectations:
*Teaching the L-S Athletics Curriculum
*Must be able to take the MIAA Coaching Course
*Ability to drive the school van to away games
*Ability to work with high school population
*Understanding of high school sports operations
*Work well with high school students, parents and other coaches
*Good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
*Understands the importance of fun in high school athletics
*Be prepared, punctual and ethical
Qualifications:
*USA Rugby Level 200 Coaching Certification or ability to pursue it
Experience Preferred:
*Experience coaching rugby
*Experience playing rugby at the high school level or higher
Stipend as per contract.
