What are the responsibilities and job description for the Federal Work Study American Reads - Nashville position at Lincoln Tech?
Federal Work-Study (FWS) is a type of financial aid awarded to students who demonstrate financial need and who meet eligibility criteria. FWS provides part-time opportunities at the campus that accommodate the student's academic schedule.
FWS students receive various assignments working in the campus departments to support staff and fellow students. A campus representative assigns tasks to the FWS students and serves as a point of contact for the student.
FWS students are limited to working no more than 20 hours/week.
Requirements
- Has a FAFSA and FWS Award on file
- Registered with no less than the minimum required credits
- Making Satisfactory Academic Progress
- Must work at an FWS approved on-campus or off-campus worksite
- Good verbal, written, and visual communication skills
- Willingness to learn and follow-through on assignments
Responsibilities
- Follow up on tasks within the assigned area
- Communicate progress and availability with the appropriate campus representative
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of any data or information of other students or staff if exposed to that
