Key Qualifications Of a Security Guard
- State-issued Security Guard Card
- High school diploma or GED
- Security training from an accredited institution
- Monitor campus entry-exit activity and allow only authorized personnel to enter the campus.
- Patrol buildings and grounds of the campus.
- Is responsible for the safe closing of the premises.
- Report any hazardous activities to management.
- Take appropriate action to control any emergencies or hazards.
- Report night activities to the Shift Supervisor on duty.
- Record data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, and malfunctioning of equipment.
- Investigate and report complaints and violations of college regulations as well as state and federal laws.
- Enforce parking regulations and regulate vehicle and pedestrian traffic on campus.
- Familiarity with SOP and Crisis Protocol
- Basic C.P.R. and first aid knowledge
