Sales Support Associate (Part-Time)

Location: Cary, NC

Pay Range: $22.00-$27.00 per hr.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Account Managers
    • Work closely with account managers by discussing specific actions and strategies.
    • Listen to their feedback and directions.
    • Officially reports to VP of Sales, however, assigned tasks can come from account managers, sales manager, VP of sales, president, or CEO.
    • Review the open sales order report daily and coordinate with Operations to address any concerns related to Sales.
    • Occasionally engage with existing customers for sales communications (PO process, shipping, etc.).
  • Order Processing
    • Verify the accuracy of PO (compared to quote) and pricing before sending to customers.
    • Process customer purchase orders promptly and enter into NetSuite , acknowledge receipt to the customer.
    • Escalate any issues to account manager or VP Sales.
  • Quote Management
    • Manage quotes from assigned account managers.
    • Ensure that terms, lead times, and other details are correct on quotes and purchase orders during processing.
    • Confirm part number revisions with customers when accepting new requests.
  • Customer Communication
    • Follow up with customers, providing estimated delivery dates after consulting Operations.
    • Keep customers informed about status requests (expedites, open order reports, etc.), sharing this information with the Sales team.
  • Distributor Orders
    • Handle daily Distributor purchase orders (e.g., DigiKey).
    • Enter order into leads on Opportunity Tracker / CRM.
    • Alert VP Sales of low sample stock.
    • Collaborate with Operations to fulfill prototype orders.
  • Reporting and CRM
    • Assist Sales by generating reports as requested.
    • Input and maintain data in the CRM system.
  • Website Update/Maintenance
    • Monitor and update the company website as needed.
    • Assist Channel Manager to manage partner online stores (Digikey/Arrow).
    • Manage demo pool.
    • Track status of all sales demo equipment.
    • Coordinate testing of demos before they are shipped out and after they are returned, working with FAE and/or Engineering manager for assistance.
    • Track status of new demo development, escalating any potential schedule issues to VP Sales.


Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years prior sales support experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Word Press, Microsoft Office, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Willingness to learn. Adaptable and flexible.
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and a proven track record of initiative.
  • High self-initiative with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Interest in hardware technology, and electronics experience preferred.
  • CRM experience, preferably NetSuite.
