Based in Merrill, Wisconsin, the privately owned company engineers windows and patio doors for visual appeal as well as outstanding performance and backs it up with exceptional customer service before and after the sale. Lincoln windows and patio doors are marketed through a network of over independent distributors throughout the U.S and Canada.

We manufacture and assemble a complete line of wood windows and patio doors out of multiple facilities in Merrill, WI and we ship the products nationwide. Over 75 years after its founding, the finely crafted windows and patio doors reflect the company’s long tradition of excellence. The belief and commitment to quality has been passed down to the many generations of employees and continues to be driving force in the company.

SUMMARY:

Assist in the overall production of a high-end, quality wood window or patio door by supervising departmental staff, organizing and monitoring work flow, and managing departmental issues fairly.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • - Lead employees, production and quality targets and to ensure the smooth running of the production processes.
  • - Maintain the quality of the product within the department using the companies quality systems, processes, and procedures.
  • - Coach, develop, and motivate employees.
  • - Monitor, measure, and report on production-related performance.
  • - Ensure effective communication with all employees.
  • - Problem solve to identify root causes and take immediate action
  • - Collaborate with other Department Supervisors
  • - Follow the established guidelines set forth in the collective bargaining agreement.
  • - Maintain an active role in the companies continuous improvement plan to achieve plans for future growth within the company by improving processes.
  • - Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance
  • - Guarantee that Health and Safety rules and regulations are adhered to, per the Company Safety policy.
  • - Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and organized work environment
  • QUALIFICATIONS:1. Effective written and verbal communication with internal and external customers.2. Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Windows based programs.3. Ability to direct and/or lead personnel as in accordance with company policies/procedures to ensure a safe and productive environment.4. Organizational and time management skills.5. Problem solving skills.6. Ability to learn and become knowledgeable in using various types of manufacturing roles, machinery, processes, and tools.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Associate’s Degree/Certificate or equivalent related work experience is preferred.

Previous supervisory experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Frequently stand; walk within department and facility.

Frequently use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Occasionally sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, twist, crouch or crawl.

Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Typically perform work in non-controlled temperatures inside plant locations.

Occasionally perform work in an office setting.

Occasionally noise and chemical hazard exposure

Occasionally travel to other plant locations, customers, vendors, etc.
