JOB DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY:
This position supports the Field and Service Department and works with customers to determine product warranty and company liability based on warranty policies and procedures; insures proper credits and debits for dealer customers and contract service technicians related to warranty claims; maintains necessary documentation with supporting software programs, retrieves data and develops reports for tracking and evaluation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintain warranty information i.e. RGA processes and other related processes for warranty repair or replacement procedures. Enter all replacement product parts data into the applicable computer software. Retrieve data and write reports.
2. Assemble, receipt and track the distribution of warranty information and cost of administering to product warranty.
3. Work with customers to determine product warranty and company liability. Determine by support data and investigation product use and misuse and determine applicable warranty. Communicates and coordinates with internal and external customers.
4. Verify return parts for applicable warranty and completes process according to warranty procedure.
5. Responsible for accurate and timely processing of service request claims and repair work orders.
6. Track vendor/supplier with supportive information of product failures to ensure tracking and proper credits due from vendors.
7. Facilitate reimbursement and collection efforts of credits as it pertains to vendor/supplier product failures and non-returns of warranty items.
8. Assist in coordinating customer warranty items, associated credits and supplier debits with Accounting and Purchasing departments. Approve service contractor invoices.
9. Assist in the preparation, coordinating, communicating and tracking of warranty claims and service issues within Lincoln warranty service guidelines.
10. Assist customer service in processing parts orders, credits, UPS charges, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Knowledge of building materials and fenestration products installation procedures and practices.
2. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and warranty/service claims processing preferred.
3. Excellent communication and organization skills are required.
4. Ability to organize work load, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
5. Ability to deal with escalated customer issues in a timely manner.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
1. High school diploma or GED required, supplemented with post-secondary coursework in Business Management equivalent to an associate degree.
2. Five (5) years or more of progressive responsibility in coordinating a primary program in parts and/or warranty desired, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
3. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel and Power Point, Mapping programs and other computer application in support of warranty programs.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
