Responsibilities of Food Nutrition Assistant Manager:
- Responsible for assisting the Food and Nutrition Manager with oversight of the Food and Nutrition Department, in a long-term care and skilled center.
- Assist with the preparation and presentation of food to patients and residents, ensuring meals meet their nutritional needs.
- Provide oversight of the departments Dietary Cooks and Aides, and ensure the center’s dietary program is in compliance with state and federal regulations
Qualifications for a Food Nutrition Assistant Manager:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of (or current enrollment in) coursework approved by the Dietary Managers Association preferred.
- One (1) year supervised food service experience in an institutional setting with focus on planning, preparing and servicing regular and therapeutic diets required.
