Pay: $15.50-$17.50
Summary
The Program Aide is responsible for assisting LWSRA participants and Program Leaders within assigned programs and events.
The position is part-time and fluctuates to accommodate evening or weekend programs. The program aide is responsible for assisting the program leader with supervision of registered participants within a program or event, and is an active participant in the programs.
Qualifications
1. High School sophomore, junior or senior, college student, or adult.
2. Experience with individuals with special needs is preferred.

Duties
1. Assist with gathering, leading, transporting, setting up, clean up and putting away equipment and materials.
2. Actively participate and assist participants in programs.
3. Assist with the supervision of participants.
4. Assist with transferring of participants.
5. Assist with programs for day camp, overnight, evening, and weekend programs.
6. Assist with preparation for events.
7. Assist with special accommodations for participants including but not limited to: diaper and toileting needs, feeding and g-tube management.
8. Attend required LWSRA staff meetings, seminars and workshops.
Safety Responsibilities
1. Maintain a working knowledge of all safety policies.
2. Immediately report all accidents, near misses and any unsafe conditions to the program leader.
3. Cooperate and assist in all investigations of accidents and/or incidents.
4. Attend all required safety programs and in-service education meetings.
5. Treat complaints and concerns with the utmost attention. Always be courteous, and immediately report any complains or concerns to the program leader.
6. Pay strict attention to housekeeping of all areas of participation.
7. Avoid engaging in any horseplay and refrain from distracting others.
8. Continual attention to the well-being and safety of assigned participants.
Psychological Considerations
1. Must have ability to deal effectively with various personality types under stressful situations.

Environmental Considerations
1. May be required to work outdoors during various weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.
Physical Requirements
Sitting: Minimum of 30 minutes depending on length of assigned programs
Standing: Minimum of 30 minutes depending on length of assigned programs.
Stooping: To gather materials and obtain supplies.
Lifting: Able to lift 25 lbs alone, and transfer participants with or without assistance from another employee.
Transportation: Ability to get to and from office and programs
