Responsibilities
- Performs food preparation and cooking while maintaining all quality standards
- Operates cooking equipment, following established procedures and safety precautions
- Assist with menu planning, as well as review and adjust menus with supervisor to accommodate dietary changes
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe kitchen environment
- Issue proper handling, labeling, and storage of food on the plate before serving
Qualifications
- ServSafe Food Handler Certification required
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Primary series of the COVID-19 vaccine required
