ABOUT THE JOB

The primary functions include administering the activities in procuring products and services, Direct Materials, Indirect Materials purchasing, production planning, and inventory control.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the Major Responsibilities, including the following :

Support with communicating with customers regarding delivery and scheduling issues on orders.
Responsible for releasing schedules for the production team to meet customer demand.
Support with the delivery portion of Contract Review.
Support with order priorities for the production team assuring that delivery dates are met
Assists with supplier management and supplier relationships.
Responsible for the procurement of all purchased products.
Assist in maintaining cost controls and materials management.
Responsible for maintaining min / max levels on purchased material.
Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE :

High school graduate or GED; 2 years minimum of relevant experience and / or training.

Procuring products and services

Capacity planning

Production planning

Purchasing direct and indirect materials

Inventory control

APICS (CPIM) or C.P.M. certification preferred.

Experience with ERP systems

Experience with Microsoft office

Demonstrates use of analytical, facilitation and teambuilding skills.

Possesses a strong sense of ownership, accountability, integrity, and urgency.

SKILLS : LANGUAGE SKILLS :

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees within the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Ability to read & interpret blueprints and technical drawings

REASONING ABILITY :

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

This job operates in both an office environment and a manufacturing environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computes, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The individual will be required to adhere to safety policies and procedures on the manufacturing floor.

POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK :

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm, with additional hours as business needs necessitate.

TRAVEL

Occasional overseas and domestic travel may be required to support the rapid growth of the company.
