Essential Functions
- Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods. Invoice shipments on ERP, print package list, pick-up request and label crates.
- Supports the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production / storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base.
- Responsible for making arragements for pick up by the carrier specified on the customer's TMS system, which is conveyed to the shipping clerk by final inspection via the shipping instructions.
- Unpacks, examines and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Receives and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit.
- Invoice shipments on ERP system, ensures all documents are delivered to the Accounting office as necessary.
- Receives incoming shipments from suppliers, reviews documentation vs. materials received (physical count), receive PO in ERP system, delivers materials to company inventory crib for normally stocked items or person who placed the order for special order items. Notifies Purchasing of any issues with incoming orders.
- Participates in inventory counts as required based on cycle counts.
- Operates lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.
- Back up to Logistics Supervisor. Weekly and monthly inventory adjustments in ERP system. Creating purchasing requests for shipping supplies. Reciept of goods.
- Back up to warehouse associate. Assembles customer orders in proper containers, using proper packing supplies.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Working in the Company's Quality and Safety System contect, in accordance with its procedures and requirements.
- Order proper containers, labels, placards, etc., for preparing the transport of hazardous waste, used oils, and universal waste.
- Respond to leaks and spills as a member of the Haz-Mat Emergency Response Team by loading waste into transport vehicles.
- Clean up spills in the Hazardous Waste containers
- Properly remediate spills and prepare containers for Hazardous Waste
- Move hazardous waste containers to the 90 days accumulation area for proper storage and disposal
- Inspect the 90-day accumulation area, sign manifests, and prepare waste for proper disposal by labeling and dating
- Performs other duties as assigned
