Overview
We are seeking an energetic Barista to work at Linda's. As a Barista, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your enthusiasm for coffee and customer service will contribute to a positive experience for our guests, ensuring they return time and again.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Operate cash registers efficiently, handling cash transactions with precision while maintaining accurate cash handling practices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the bakery
- Complete opening and closing checklists
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure the highest quality of products served.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods while fostering a positive work environment.
- Roll pastry dough and bake pastries as needed.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Experience in cash handling and operating cash registers effectively.
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety practices within the food industry is preferred.
- Previous experience in a café or similar environment is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- A genuine passion for coffee and willingness to learn about different brewing methods and beverage preparation techniques.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must maintain good hygiene and a clean appearance (short nails, remove piercings, jewelry, etc).
- Must be punctual and dependable.
Additional Details
- Starting pay is $10 per hour plus card/cash tips.
- Schedules are flexible.
- Start date as early as February 11th.
