- Performing metrology requests with vision measuring machine (VMM)
- Support Certificate of Conformance and prepare Certificate of Analysis (COC/COA) approvals as needed
- Provide input to the development of equipment requirements (jigs, fixtures) necessary to support the metrology function in the measurement of parts in a repeatable & reproducible manner, and work with cross functional groups in the fabrication of same
- Oversee and support the troubleshooting of metrology equipment and/or method
- Use data as the primary source for factual based decision making, to consider process capability via Cp & Cpk. Collaborate closely with functions involved
- Evaluate new equipment, processes and methods, and ensure operational compliance with established procedures
- Manage and coordinate calibration & maintenance activities associated with equipment within your responsibility and coordinate calibration process with in-house and 3rd parties
- Aid in investigation of quality action implementation/training
- Support and/or facilitate corrective action implementation/training
- Participate in continual improvement projects as the lead, and/or team member
- Perform gage training and R&R activities across all shifts
- Coordinate containment and inspection of suspect product, as assigned
- Audit production lines and control documents – drive corrections as required
- Establish limit samples and provide production team training
- Provide training updates to operators regarding quality related gauges/metrology and calibration
- Create quality alerts and provide awareness training as needed
- Essential Team Member for BRC Audit
- Perform as back up to other quality team members’ functions as needed
- Assist with immediate sorting as needed to support maintenance/repair team
- Support to quality activities at the laboratory and production areas
- Follow-up the manager direction for quality activities.
- Preparing SOP for calibration process, gauges at lab.
- Knowledge of gauges and inspection/measuring equipment preferred
- Experience in data collection and SPC a plus
- Experience of using vision measuring (VMM) or coordinate measuring machines (CMM)
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral
- Proficient with standard office software (Microsoft Office) required
- Experience of using Minitab
- Having calibration certificate
