What you will enjoy doing*
- You will Prepare and evaluate cubicle qualification samples (Tab samples).
- Further you will also prepare and evaluate sample parts and customer hardware (Part cut ups) and prepare and evaluate physical properties (e.g. Hardness – Micro and Macro).
- You will perform set-ups, and operate a variety of standard lab equipment, while adhering to prescribed methods of operation.
- Calibrate and maintain lab equipment is required in this role.
- Moreover you will order all Met Lab supplies including polishing suspensions, grit paper, etc.
- You will perform quality evaluations of standard coatings in a timely manner, identifying problem areas and reporting results to appropriate individuals.
- Accurate record keeping for all of the above.
What makes you great
- A High School Diploma/GED and 5 years' related experience such as in quality, manufacturing, or similar environment.
- You must be able to complete Linde Metallurgical Technician Training and Metcut Training, and maintain certification(s).
- Further, you must be able to perform quality evaluations of standard coatings and basic investigations into metallurgical issues at a level typically acquired through lab experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong written and verbal communication skills is required.
- Moreover, you must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends and holidays as needed.
