PG Technologies, LLC, in Indianapolis, IN, has a current opening for a 3rd shift metallurgical laboratory technician.
This position is posted for an off shift; therefore a successful candidate must be able to thrive with little direction on process or workload. Position is 3rd shift, G10 level and requires weekend work, both voluntary and mandatory. Upon completion of Metcut (CCL) certification and PST certification, technician will be eligible to move to a G11 level. Initial training will be done on 1st shift. Opportunity to be certified on DSQR.
Job Overview :
- Use the Oracle database to log samples, receive and obtain appropriate mount identification information.
- Prepare customer hardware (part cut-ups) and cubicle samples (tab samples) at various stages of the production process for metallurgical evaluation
o Preparation includes sectioning, mounting, grinding and polishing, nickel plating, oxidation
Perform metallurgical evaluation with microscopeProper preparation and metallographic evaluation of samples per customer, internal, and corporate quality requirementsRequirements :

Qualifications :
High school diploma is requiredIf not previously certified, individual must be able to complete both PST certification and week-long Metcut (CCL) training (off-site) prior to working independentlyPreferred Qualifications :
