Job Title: TAR Coordinator- Geismar, LA
Job Overview:
This position reports to the respective Enclave Maintenance Superintendent and is responsible for providing oversight and coordination of designated maintenance activities (Routine, Projects, and TAR) within their enclave to ensure that they are completed safely, on time and under budget. This job is responsible to act as the primary interface for Operations, Maintenance, Safety and Engineering with regards to the successful completion of maintenance objectives. This position also has primary accountability for ensuring the safety and efficiency of the service personnel while on site.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead Maintenance and Contract resource Teams to execute Assigned activities and schedules. Activities will include scope development, estimating, schedule development, execution and financial close out.
- Support Maintenance execution work process in alignment of the business goals and safe, quality, reliable and competitive maintenance services.
- Assist in leading execution of planned and unplanned unit shutdowns including job plans and critical path schedule development and tracking and closeout activities.
- May periodically back fill other Maintenance leadership roles based on plant activity level & vacation schedules.
- Communicates with the Facility Managers and Shift Supervisors to clarify work priorities and clearly communicate the status of routine and shutdown work.
- Insures proper completion of inspections and implementation of all environmental, safety and security requirements.
- Conduct safety meetings with contractors around key practices and procedures.
- Participate in investigations as requested.
- Review the schedule and communicate work scope priorities to the respective work force both on and off site.
- Implements appropriate action to maintain maximum labor productivity and cost effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the execution of the milestone schedule – (scoping process, planning, scheduling, and engineering).
- Works with operations, maintenance, inspection, and other departments as required to assemble an approved work scope.
- Determine manpower levels to attain schedule milestones and monitor manpower levels and craft mixes to ensure conformance to the needed activities.
- Develop and implement a quality assurance strategy for each routine/shutdown activity to insure reliable equipment upon restart.
- Assist TAR coordinator field change notice (FCN) process to maintain control of turnaround cost and schedule.
- Performance of equipment.
- Coordinates with prime outside contractors to specify requirements by craft, manpower and heavy equipment needs, coordinates with materials and contract supply specialist on written contract needs.
- Monitors field progress during routine activities and updates or develop new work schedules.
- Coordinate assigned expense work scope development.
- Leads/ assists in scope development, project estimates, funding requests and execution management of capital projects that involve replacement and/or upgrade of existing plant and equipment.
- Assist in the development of contractor strategy.
Financial Responsibilities:
- Assist Superintendent and planner with budgets and controls spending through appropriate tracking, forecasting and adjustments.
- Monitor Routine cost and schedule attainment with Maintenance Planner.
- Communicate issues regarding forecast cost to the Maintenance Superintendent.
- Monitor productivity and cost.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years relevant experience in plant engineering, turnaround execution, maintenance, and reliability activities.
- Must have demonstrated strong leadership capabilities.
- Key skills include communication, decision quality, planning, courage, facilitation, influencing and negotiating.
- Successful candidate must be able to foster diverse relationships throughout the organization.
- Must have a detailed understanding of equipment and overall plant manufacturing processes.
- Requires familiarity with environmental, safety, and health procedures and issues.
- Must understand function, maintenance & inspection practices of mechanical, electrical and analytical equipment as well as instrumentation and controls systems basics.
- Requires familiarity with turnaround/routine work processes and best practices.
- Must be able to manage multiple priorities, drive issues to completion and obtain results.
- Must be proficient in the use of CMMS, Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint
