Job Title: Regional Sales Manager
Reports To: Vice President
Job Summary:
Responsible for growing and maintaining customer relationships throughout the region.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain staffing at proper levels in relationship to current market
• Manage growth, safety, efficiency, and profitability of the Sales Representatives
• Evaluate performance of sales department against stated goals, budgets, financials, customer reviews and competitors
• Implement and promote current marketing programs as related to area of responsibility
• Perform periodic written evaluations for sales staff as required
• Ensure that necessary literature and marketing materials are available
• Meet and exceed company goals as related to growth, efficiency, and safety
• Review deals and compensation for sales personnel and make recommendations for changes as appropriate
• Prepare call reports, estimates and budgets as required
• Audit compliance of all federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to the sales department
• Schedule weekly customer visits jointly with equipment salesperson
• Develop and maintain good working relationship with other departments
• Maintain on-going self improvement via self study, company and factory provided programs
• Perform other tasks as requested by management
• Maintain and increase involvement in industry associations and local community initiatives
• Review and maintain appropriate levels of market share
Education/Experience/Skill:
• Undergraduate Degree preferred or equivalent Industry experience
• Experience in industry; preferably in sales and customer relations
• Proficient computer skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• General knowledge of maintenance, repair, parts department functions, sales, and customer needs
