Our defense practice encompasses a wide range of matters, including construction negligence, premises and product liability, transportation liability, and general tort defense.
About the Role:
This position offers the opportunity to handle diverse and challenging insurance defense cases, including complex construction litigation, premises liability, product liability, and transportation liability. The successful candidate will independently manage a caseload of 30-40 files, oversee litigation in state and federal courts, and prepare briefs, motions, discovery documents, and trial materials.
Qualifications:
Required:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice in Illinois; additional licenses in Wisconsin or Indiana are a plus
- 5 years of experience in insurance defense and litigation
- Strong research, writing, and courtroom advocacy skills
Preferred:
- Experience with construction, premises liability, product liability, and/or transportation claims
- Expert witness and trial experience
- Portable business is welcomed but not required
